Handling
Best practice for storage
Lyophilised peptides are stable when handled correctly. Five rules that cover most of it.
Store at 2–8 °C
Keep vials refrigerated. Lyophilised material tolerates short ambient transport, but long-term stability depends on a steady cold environment.
Keep away from light
UV and strong daylight degrade many sequences. Store vials in their box or another opaque container.
Out of reach of children
Store securely in a dedicated, labelled place. These are laboratory materials, not consumer products.
Minimise vibration
A stable shelf beats a fridge door. Repeated agitation can destabilise the lyophilised cake and reconstituted solutions alike.
Seal after reconstitution
Once reconstituted, keep the solution in an airtight, sterile vial at 2–8 °C and use it within the window stated on the datasheet.
